Life’s messages are
sometimes ruthless.
Although I would like to live a quiet life
full of flowers in shades of blues and yellow.
I am handed the aura of
Browns and Reds in measure.
I want to live in colorful hues of light.
Yet I get storms and
multiple flavored bitterness.
Take me back to candy land games
and monopoly money.
Lincoln logs and Pez.
Take me back to the purest of Easter
and May Day ribbons, of my childhood.
Give me a taste of Sensuous beings, and stolen kisses.
Give me back the richness of my youth
When I was sheltered and full of harmony.
